We back every Flapjack Johnnys Cooking membership with a 30-day money-back guarantee, and we accept returns on most physical store products within 30 days of delivery. If you are unhappy, write to us; we will make it right. The full rules are below so you know exactly what to expect before you ever have to ask.
1. Memberships
Every new member starts with a 30-day free trial. We collect your card on signup so the membership begins immediately, but no charge is made for the first 30 days.
- Cancel during the trial -- visit your account page and click "Cancel membership" at any point in the first 30 days. Your card is never charged. There is nothing else to do.
- Cancel after the first charge -- if you forgot to cancel and the renewal goes through, email info@flapjackjohnnys.com within 30 days of that charge and we will refund the full amount, no questions asked.
- Renewal periods after the first 30-day window -- monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for the current month once it has begun, but we are happy to cancel future renewals so you are never charged again. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rated basis if the cancellation happens within the first 60 days of an annual term; after 60 days, annual fees become non-refundable but cancellation still stops future renewals.
- Promotional or bundled memberships -- gift codes and one-time promotional access do not auto-renew and are not refundable for cash, but unused codes can be transferred to another email address by emailing us before redemption.
2. Physical products from our store
We want you happy with the cookware, knives, and pantry goods you order from us. The general rule:
- Cookware, cutlery, prep tools, and small appliances may be returned within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the product price, provided the item is in original condition with original packaging and tags.
- Items showing normal use, missing parts, or damage caused by the customer may receive a partial refund at our discretion.
- Perishable pantry goods (spices, oils, syrups, and other consumables) cannot be returned once the seal has been broken or the package has been opened, for food-safety reasons. Unopened pantry goods are returnable within 30 days.
- Sale and clearance items are refundable on the same 30-day terms unless the product page clearly says "final sale".
Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the return is the result of our error (wrong item shipped, damaged on arrival, defective on first use). In those cases we cover return shipping and ship a replacement or issue a full refund at your choice.
3. Damaged, defective, or wrong items
Inspect every shipment when it arrives. If a box is visibly damaged, accept it but note the damage with the carrier and email us a photo within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund (your choice). If a product develops a defect within the manufacturer warranty period, contact us first; we often resolve warranty issues faster than the manufacturer.
4. How to request a refund
One email is all it takes:
- Email info@flapjackjohnnys.com from the address on your account.
- Include your order ID (it begins with "FJ" and is in the order confirmation email) or the email address tied to your membership.
- Tell us briefly what the issue is. A photo is helpful for damage claims but not required for membership refunds.
We reply within 1 business day. Once a refund is approved we issue it within 5 business days to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer typically posts the refund 3 to 10 business days after we send it -- that part is on their side.
5. Exceptions
- Opened perishable pantry goods -- spices, oils, syrups, and other consumables are non-returnable once the seal is broken, for food-safety reasons.
- Downloadable digital goods -- printable shopping lists, meal-plan PDFs, and other instant-download files are non-refundable once they have been downloaded. We will refund accidental duplicate purchases.
- Items returned outside the 30-day window -- we cannot accept these. Contact us before shipping anything; we will tell you whether the return qualifies.
- Products altered or used commercially -- modifications, engraving, or commercial use voids the return.
6. How long until I get my money back?
Memberships are refunded the same day or the next business day after we receive your email. Physical-product refunds are issued within 5 business days of the returned item arriving at our warehouse. Card networks then post the refund to your statement, typically inside 10 business days. If 14 business days have passed and you do not see the refund, email us and we will share the refund reference so your bank can locate it.
7. Address for returns
Always email us first so we can issue a return authorization and the correct return label. Unauthorized returns may be delayed or refused. The default ship-back address is:

8. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please email us before filing a chargeback with your bank. We can almost always resolve billing questions in a single email and far faster than the chargeback process. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Changes apply to orders placed after the effective date.
